Avivit Bar Zohar vs. Lia Greenner: 'There was a lawsuit and she paid for it'
Avivit Bar Zohar opens up about the stormy conflict with Lia Greenner that reached the court, and explains what made her decide that she is never ready to forgive again: 'I cannot laugh at this. Not in 10 years and not in 50 years'.
Avivit Bar Zohar, who first gained fame on the television show "Big Brother," was a guest on the "Walla Ishi" podcast from Walla and spoke about the highly publicized conflict with reality star Lia Greenner.
As a reminder, Greenner is responsible for a viral monologue broadcast in an interview with Hanoch Daum, in which she says she was hurt by the behavior of Avivit Bar Zohar, who arrived at her wedding with a new partner and thereby stole the spotlight on the happiest day of her life.
Bar Zohar presented her version of the conflict and said:
"Lia does not understand how much she hurts me when she does this monologue with the word 'whre.' If she had only said 'you brought a new boyfriend,' maybe I would have laughed at it. I have no problem, I have a sense of humor. The word 'whre' in my eyes, when 18 and 19-year-old kids say this word to me and make a TikTok video out of it, it destroys my soul. No one understands that. I cannot laugh at it. Not today, not in 10 years, not in 50 years, I will not laugh at it. I will not laugh at it to get campaigns or to make money from it. It does not interest me. No money in the world can compensate for what my soul feels when people talk about me like that."
Later, Avivit Bar Zohar said that she had filed a lawsuit against the reality star following the offensive monologue:
"She regretted it, and there was also a lawsuit, and she paid for it. We were also friends... She had a birthday, and I sent her a gift, and she also sent me a gift. We were friends, I really love her."
"About eight months ago, she participated in some stand-up performance, and she did exactly the same monologue in a humorous way, and the whole audience laughed. That is when I decided that I am not talking to her anymore. She pushed me over the edge. She knows my character, and she knows that I get hurt, and she knows that it is hard for me. You asked for forgiveness, you paid in a libel lawsuit, and you are going again to do a stand-up show about it. Where is the logic?"
