The National Insurance Institute announces that today, Sunday, is the deadline for reporting and paying insurance premiums. This is the monthly date by which self-employed individuals and employers are required to settle their obligations.

Self-employed workers are required to pay insurance premium advances according to their set deadlines. The National Insurance Institute allows payments to be made via its website, the personal service portal, or the telephone payment center. Those who pay via standing bank order are generally charged on the 22nd of each month for the previous month, though the date may shift due to Sabbaths and holidays.

Additionally, employers are required to report and pay insurance premiums for their employees. This must be carried out via the official National Insurance Institute payment website, though there is also an option to submit the report only and pay via the bank.

It is important to note that failure to report or pay on time may result in fines and linkage in accordance with the law. In some cases, failure to settle payments may also expose the employer to financial demands related to benefits that have been or will be paid to their employees.
