With a machete, a taser, and face masks: Three young men arrested in Ashkelon

Three suspects, residents of the south in their 20s, were arrested in Ashkelon after detectives from the city's special investigation unit stopped the vehicle in which they were traveling. The operation was carried out as part of a proactive fight against crime, and the suspects were transferred for questioning at the police station.

During the search, an airsoft pistol, matching ammunition, a face mask, and gloves were seized from a bag carried by one of the suspects. A search of the vehicle also uncovered a machete, a commando knife, a hammer, a taser, and several mobile phones.

The vehicle was seized and transferred for further handling as part of the investigation. Deputy Commander of the Ashkelon station, Chief Inspector Doron Sasson, stated:

"Police officers and detectives of the Ashkelon station act proactively and decisively against crime generators and criminal elements, relying on high-quality intelligence and focused operational activity. We will continue to work to thwart violent crimes and remove assault weapons from the public sphere, for the sake of public safety."
