14.5% Salary Increase and Improved Conditions: Tambord Employees Secure New Agreement
The Histadrut and the management of Tambord have signed a four-year collective agreement granting approximately 70 employees a 14.5% salary increase, alongside improved welfare benefits and food allowances.
Representatives of the Histadrut in the Western Galilee region, the management of Tambord, and the workers' committee signed a new collective agreement on Wednesday. The agreement is valid for four years and applies to approximately 70 factory workers in Akko.
The signed agreement includes salary increases totaling 14.5% over the duration of the contract, improvements in welfare conditions, and an increase in budgets for food vouchers and social activities. Tambord is a subsidiary of the Tambour company, which specializes in the production and marketing of gypsum boards and advanced solutions for light construction.
Partners in the negotiations included: Chairman of the Western Galilee region in the Histadrut Asher Shmueli, Chairwoman of Na'amat in the region Ofra Elkayam Cohen, regional union secretary Adv. Muhammad Safiya, Chairman of the workers' committee Atef Garmati, and committee members Muhammad Machluf and Muhammad Hathut. Representing Tambord were Group CEO Micha Shrier, VP of Human Resources Yodefet Kirmair, COO Liron Kuter, and Northern District HR Manager Shikma Levin.
Chairman of the Western Galilee region in the Histadrut, Asher Shmueli, stated after the signing:
"Deep gratitude and great appreciation to everyone involved in the work, both from the management and from the workers' representatives, who worked day and night to achieve this agreement."
