On the verge of returning to war? The "war of clocks" between Iran and the USA

In the security establishment, it is estimated that Iran has not been enriching uranium since Operation "Am Klevia," and this can be seen as a "not insignificant achievement." However, the main problem is that, within the framework of negotiations between the US and Iran, enriched uranium has not left the regime's hands and is still buried in the underground facilities that the US and Israel attacked.

Accordingly, the intelligence community has increased surveillance of all facilities, including "Fordow Mountain," to pinpoint irregularities in their activity against the backdrop of concerns that the Iranians will try to restore or smuggle materials and infrastructure. A critical point for the security establishment and the political echelon is the elimination of nuclear scientists in the first and second circles.

"Eliminating the centers of knowledge in the nuclear field makes it very difficult for the Iranians, in the present and in the foreseeable future, to restore the infrastructure and make decisions on how to do it; they can find solutions, but it will be complex."

Iranian military industries were severely damaged by the IDF and the US military. According to estimates in Israel, the Iranians have returned to production, but in a limited manner and "very far" from what they planned before the operation, and the restoration process is complex under American sanctions. A security source told "Walla": "It is not for nothing that the Iranians have been launching short-range missiles and rockets in recent months; their long-range arsenal is under limitation."

According to senior officials in the security establishment, the Iranians and the Americans are in a "war of clocks," and the question is "who will fold first?" The White House is worried about the price of a barrel of oil, inflation, and the economic crisis resulting from war expenses, as well as the midterm elections at the end of November. On the other hand, the Iranians are struggling under American economic pressure, which, despite the threats of US President Donald Trump, has not yet included new heavy sanctions that would accelerate the crisis throughout Iran.

Sources in the security establishment estimate that it is inevitable that, to escape the economic crisis and the fear of uncontrollable public riots, the Iranians will launch a war against the Gulf states and American interests in the Middle East. Therefore, to avoid a situational surprise, the Chief of Staff has ordered to maintain a high level of alert for any scenario.
