Stabbing attack in the Jordan Valley: man moderately wounded, terrorist fled

A 24-year-old man was moderately wounded this morning (Sunday) in a stabbing attack in the village of Al-Auja in the Jordan Valley. According to the information received, he apparently entered the village together with several other young people to shop at a well-known store. During their stay at the location, a terrorist attacked them, stabbed the young man, and fled.

A 24-year-old man was moderately wounded this morning (Sunday) in a stabbing attack in the village of Al-Auja in the Jordan Valley. According to the information received, he apparently entered the village together with several other young people to shop at a well-known store. During their stay at the location, a terrorist attacked them, stabbed the young man, and fled.

Following the attack, the IDF launched a manhunt for the terrorist. As part of the operation, forces seized security camera footage from the store to trace the escape route. MADA medics and paramedics, in cooperation with an IDF medical unit, provided medical treatment to the wounded man and evacuated him to the hospital.

Our settlements correspondent Elya Aviv reported that a senior official in the Jordan Valley security apparatus spoke with News 14 and said:

"We took cameras from the stores. The terrorist is a teenager, he stabbed, threw the knife, and ran away. Searches are being conducted and a closure is imposed on Al-Auja."

MADA emergency medical technician Gal Shani said: "We received a report of a man wounded by stabbing. We met with the wounded man, he was fully conscious and suffering from a stab wound to his upper body. We provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him in a MADA intensive care ambulance to the hospital, his condition is moderate and he is fully conscious."

Yonatan Avrahami, a medic with United Hatzalah, stated: "According to passersby, he was stabbed when he stopped to shop at a store near the village of Al-Auja. With the assistance of an IDF intensive care ambulance team, I provided him with initial medical aid at the scene, and at this stage, his condition is defined as moderate and stable."

MADA spokesperson stated: "MADA medics and paramedics, in cooperation with an IDF medical force, are providing medical treatment and evacuating to Shaare Zedek Hospital a 24-year-old man in moderate condition, with a penetrating injury."

The IDF stated: "Following the report of the stabbing attack in the Al-Auja area in the Jordan Valley and Valleys Brigade, numerous IDF forces began a pursuit of the terrorist. Blockades have begun on the village and in the area. The IDF is in constant contact with the residents and security officials in the area."

The police stated: "A short time ago, a report was received about a stabbing victim near the village of Al-Auja in the Jordan Valley. Police forces from the Judea and Samaria District are on the scene and the circumstances of the incident are under investigation. Further details to follow." Security forces are continuing the manhunt for the terrorist and searches in the sector, in parallel with checking the circumstances of the attack.
