National Insurance Institute: Benefit payments to be transferred in two days

August is drawing to a close, and the National Insurance Institute is completing its monthly distribution of grants and benefits to hundreds of thousands of Israelis eligible for state support. Here is a breakdown of which payments are still expected by the end of August, when they will arrive, and how much the average payment has increased.
The first benefits processed this month were unemployment benefits and income support, paid on August 12. The reporting and payment deadline for insurance premiums for self-employed individuals and employers, typically set for the 15th, was moved to August 16 this month as the original date fell on a Saturday.
Child allowances were deposited into eligible accounts on August 20. The remaining benefits, which are the final ones to be distributed this month, are scheduled for payment in two days, on Friday, August 28.

As of the beginning of 2026, the average benefit amount has increased by 2.64% due to the rise in the Consumer Price Index. Following the latest update, the average benefit amount across all categories is approximately 5,280 NIS.
