National Insurance Institute: Changes to Allowance Payment Schedule
Ahead of August, the National Insurance Institute has released updated payment dates. Some allowances will be disbursed early due to the weekend, while the average payment amount has reached 5,280 shekels following indexation.
August is approaching, and as every month, the National Insurance Institute is distributing allowances to hundreds of thousands of eligible Israelis. Below is the schedule for upcoming payments, reporting deadlines, and details regarding the average increase in benefits.
The first allowances to be disbursed this month are unemployment benefits and income support, which will be paid on August 12. The reporting and payment deadline for insurance contributions for the self-employed and employers, which falls on August 15 (Saturday), will be moved forward by two days to August 13.
Child allowances are scheduled to be deposited on August 20. The remaining allowances, originally set for August 28 (Friday), will be advanced by one day and paid on Thursday, August 27.

As previously reported, the average allowance has increased since the beginning of 2026 due to a 2.64% rise in the Consumer Price Index. Following the latest update, the average payment across all categories is approximately 5,280 shekels.
