National Insurance Institute: August Benefit Payments Schedule
This week, the National Insurance Institute will finalize benefit payments for hundreds of thousands of eligible Israelis. Here is the distribution schedule and the latest update on payment amounts.

As August draws to a close, the National Insurance Institute is completing the distribution of grants and benefits to hundreds of thousands of eligible Israelis. Below is the schedule for the remaining payments this month and details on the recent increase in benefit amounts.
The first payments for the month, including unemployment benefits and income support, were issued on 12.8. The deadline for reporting and paying insurance contributions for the self-employed and employers was moved from 15.8 to 16.8, as the original date fell on a Saturday.
Child allowances were deposited into eligible accounts on 20.8. The remaining benefits are scheduled for payment on 28.8.
This final round of payments includes old-age pensions, survivor's pensions, disability benefits, disabled child benefits, special services for the severely disabled, mobility benefits, work injury benefits, alimony, rehabilitation, nursing care, and payments for prisoners of Zion. Additionally, transfers to victims of hostilities are expected on this date.
Since the beginning of 2026, the average benefit amount has increased by 2.64% due to the rise in the Consumer Price Index. Following this update, the average payment across all benefit categories is approximately 5,280 shekels.
