Ashkelon Father Charged With Assaulting Seven-Year-Old Child
An Ashkelon father has been charged with assaulting and threatening a seven-year-old classmate of his daughter following a schoolyard dispute.

A resident of Ashkelon in his 40s has been formally charged following an incident in which he allegedly assaulted and threatened a seven-year-old boy who attends the same elementary school class as his daughter.
According to the indictment filed by the Southern District Prosecutor's Office at the Magistrate's Court in Ashkelon, the father intervened after learning from his daughter that she had been involved in an argument with the classmate. The accused located the child at a local basketball playground, approached him, and delivered a direct verbal threat, stating: "If you ever go near my daughter again, I will break your legs."
Investigators state that the confrontation escalated beyond verbal threats. The defendant physically attacked the boy, grabbing him and forcefully pulling his ear, which resulted in physical pain and bleeding. Following the incident, the victim reported the assault to his parents, who subsequently filed an official complaint with local law enforcement.
The suspect was questioned under caution and released under restrictive conditions upon the conclusion of the initial police probe. He faces criminal charges including threats and the assault of a minor, and his trial is scheduled to begin in the near future.
