Just before the reveal, Ari sat down for an open conversation with TMI to share what he had asked the experts for in a bride, what viewers missed regarding Noa, and why he believes it was difficult for the audience to connect with them.
'I am a person of touch, so when I came to the program, I asked for a smiling and energetic girl with skin that is pleasant to touch so that we would have fun hugging,' he shared.
He explained that the online criticism of Noa is unjustified and disproportionate, though he admitted he understands the viewer's perspective.
'I can understand what the audience likes or dislikes and where it comes from,' he said. 'She is a girl with a very high IQ and incredible emotional intelligence, and she came from a very pure and honest place. It's not fair what she is receiving.' He confirmed that they are still in touch, but refrained from revealing what that means for their current relationship status.
Ari did not hesitate to admit that watching their dynamic can be difficult: 'I see us compared to the other couples and I think we are not the most pleasant couple to watch because much of our dynamic is drama rather than fun. No one is perfect. There was insecurity in the process, both mine and hers, and it brought out things that were not always flattering.'
Goldberg clarified that regardless of the experiment's romantic outcome, the bond formed between them is stronger than any television drama: 'Noa is for life. Our friendship is true, and she will always be part of my life, no matter what.'
