Today, Wednesday, Arasale Electronics announced the appointment of Ofer Elyakim as the company's CEO. Elyakim, who brings over 30 years of experience in managing high-tech and industrial firms, is particularly known for his long tenure as CEO of DSP Group. In that role, he transformed the company into a leading player in smart audio and artificial intelligence for edge devices—a strategic move that led to its sale for approximately $600 million in December 2021.

He is now taking the reins at a company that provides advanced technologies combining artificial intelligence and machine learning for military platforms in the air, at sea, and on land. Among Arasale's developments are control systems for jet engines and guided munitions, as well as muzzle velocity radars for artillery that improve firing accuracy, allowing for a 50% reduction in ammunition use and the number of guns required. The company's technology is utilized by major clients, including the IDF, the US Army, and the Indian Army.

"I believe that Arasale has significant growth potential in the global transport, security, and aviation markets," noted Elyakim upon his appointment.

He emphasized that the company's products are integrated into "critical systems that require an exceptionally high level of reliability and are tested under extreme conditions." He added that he intends to leverage the strong organizational and technological infrastructure established by Zeev Degani to accelerate growth in international markets.

Elyakim currently serves as a partner at the ION Private Equity fund, which holds a controlling interest in Arasale. The company's chairman, Yair Ramati, welcomed the move: "We believe that Ofer's experience and managerial capabilities will help accelerate the company's development, expand its operations, and create significant value for shareholders."
