After Israel's top clubs: Sallalich's new challenge
The 35-year-old winger who previously played for Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Beitar Jerusalem joins Ironi Beit Shemesh from Liga Alef.
Ironi Beit Shemesh announced on Tuesday the surprising signing of Sintayehu Sallalich, a veteran winger with a rich history in Israeli and European football. Sallalich arrives at the club following a career that included stints at Israel's top clubs, and he will now look to assist the team in achieving its goals for the upcoming season.
Sallalich, 35, who previously played for Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Hapoel Be'er Sheva, and Beitar Jerusalem, also gained valuable experience abroad, playing for the Slovenian club Maribor and competing in European tournaments.
At Ironi Beit Shemesh, the management believes this is a significant squad addition, citing the experience, personal ability, and leadership the player brings. The club expects him to add quality on the pitch and contribute his expertise within the locker room.
"Sintayehu is a significant addition to our squad, and with his experience and abilities, he will help us continue to build a strong, competitive, and ambitious team," the club stated.
Sallalich joins the team after a career in which he became well-acquainted with the high standards of Israeli football, and he will now attempt to open a new chapter with Ironi Beit Shemesh.
