Veteran journalist Barak Ravid, who serves as a political commentator for CNN and a foreign correspondent for Channel 12, will be a guest tomorrow (Friday) on the program "What Really Happened There," hosted by Erez Tal, where they will discuss dramatic points in Ravid's journalistic career.

During the interview, he will address his strained relationship with colleague Amit Segal, the political commentator for Channel 12 News and one of the most prominent voices in the media world. Host Erez Tal asked Ravid about the prolonged estrangement that developed between them and the period when they did not speak at all. "We were younger, even more childish. It certainly wasn't professional; I think it was somewhere between political and personal — there was some kind of explosion and a break. We didn't talk," Ravid admitted.

The estrangement between them lasted for several years and was broken after a small personal gesture on Ravid's part. "When my book was published, they asked me who I wanted to send a copy to. I came across Amit's name and wrote a dedication to him in the book. After we hadn't spoken for several years," he recalled. He added that Segal replied with a "thank you" for the gesture, and they have been speaking to each other ever since.

During the program, journalist Barak Ravid also spoke about the surprising call he received from US President Donald Trump a few seconds before a live broadcast.
