After 7 months: 4 people, including a mother and her son, arrested for murder of woman in front of her children
Wafaa Hasarma (35) from the village of Bi'ina in the Galilee was shot to death in her car; her two children were unharmed. Following a covert investigation, four suspects were arrested for involvement in the murder.

The police announced today (Sunday) that four suspects were arrested for involvement in the murder of Wafaa Hasarma (35) in the village of Bi'ina in the Galilee. The woman, whose husband Mahmoud Hasarma (38) was also murdered nearly five years ago, was shot to death in January of this year in her car in front of their two children, who were unharmed.
Upon receiving the report of the murder, large forces from the Northern District arrived at the scene. A situational assessment was held on-site by the district command, and at its conclusion, the covert investigation was assigned to the Central Unit (Yamar) of the Galilee region in the Northern District. Following numerous investigative actions and the transition to an open investigation, four suspects from the village of Bi'ina were arrested this morning for involvement in the murder, which apparently occurred due to a family dispute. Among the suspects are a mother and her son. The four will be brought to court for a remand hearing.
In a statement, the police noted:
"Solving murder cases and preventing serious crime are at the top of the Northern District's priorities. The Northern District Police invests its best resources, technological means, intelligence capabilities, and most skilled forces to reach every scene, crack every case, and bring the suspects to justice."
Hasarma was a special education consultant and worked in schools. The victim's husband was, as mentioned, shot to death on Shazar Street in Nahariya in November 2021. He was hit by a large number of bullets at the time and was found lifeless next to his vehicle.
