On Tuesday morning, Cushmaro shared a post on his Instagram account featuring two photos: one of the certificate itself and another of him smiling while holding it, with the simple caption: "Thank you."
The Israel Press Council's statement regarding the award reads:
"The Israel Press Council awards this certificate of appreciation to Mr. Dany Cushmaro, Channel 12, in recognition of your courageous, dedicated, and responsible journalistic work in covering the events and news since October 7, 2023, and for your commitment to the values of journalistic ethics, the public's right to know, and freedom of the press."
Cushmaro remains one of the most iconic figures at Channel 12, currently celebrating 25 years on screen. He continues to prove that he is more than just a news anchor; for instance, last June, he surprised guests at a wedding for a Hapoel Be'er Sheva player by officiating the ceremony under the chuppah.
