Ex-NFL Star Antonio Brown Expected to Avoid Prison in Miami Plea Deal

Former NFL star Antonio Brown is expected to reach a plea deal in an attempted murder case in Miami, avoiding prison time. His attorney, Marc Eiglarsh, announced the development, stating that Brown is scheduled to appear in court next Wednesday to finalize the agreement.

Case Details and Charges

According to the original indictment, Brown faced up to 30 years in prison if convicted of attempted murder. The charges stem from an incident in May 2025 following a celebrity boxing match in Miami, where Brown allegedly grabbed a gun from a security guard and fired two shots at an individual with whom he had previously argued.

"We gave Brown an offer he couldn't refuse," said defense attorney Marc Eiglarsh, noting that while the defense believed in its case, a prolonged legal battle was not feasible for the player and his family.

Plea Terms and Victim Response

The victim, Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, told investigators that a bullet grazed his neck. However, Nantambu's attorney, Richard LeCouter, stated that his client has forgiven Brown and will not pursue further legal action.
