Anan Khalaili on his way to the Premier League? A top club offered 20 million euros

Israeli winger Anan Khalaili continues to be at the center of the European transfer market. According to a report in 'The Athletic', Premier League club Nottingham Forest submitted an official offer to his Belgian club, Union Saint-Gilloise, but the offer was rejected.

The English offer stood at a total sum of 20 million euros: 17.5 million euros as a fixed payment, an additional 2.5 million euros in bonuses based on appearances and performance, alongside a percentage of a future resale.

Despite the high amount, Forest's offer is far from the financial demands of the Belgians. At Union Saint-Gilloise, they expect to receive a package close to the one agreed upon with Inter in mid-July, which stood at about 28 million euros. As recalled, the deal with the Italians was already closed but fell through at the last moment after Khalaili did not receive the required medical clearance.

Despite the failure of the move to Italy, the demand for the 21-year-old Israel national team player remains at its peak. According to the report, Bournemouth and Newcastle are also closely following Khalaili's situation and are expressing interest in signing him in the current transfer window.

Now it remains to be seen if Nottingham Forest will choose to improve its financial offer to reach an agreement with the Belgian club, or if another team will take advantage of the situation and snatch one of the most sought-after Israeli players this summer.
