Following a romantic wedding in the Judean Desert, actors Gal Amitai and Efrat Dor expected an unforgettable honeymoon, but they could hardly have imagined how extreme it would become. The couple, who flew to the Burning Man festival in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, USA, found themselves in the heart of a massive sandstorm that turned their romantic getaway into a true survival journey.

Burning Man is notorious for its extreme weather conditions, but sandstorms of this magnitude can surprise even the most experienced festival-goers. Instead of relaxing on an exotic beach, the newlyweds had to wrap themselves in scarves, wear protective goggles, and seek shelter from the thick, stinging dust clouds that covered the playa.

Ironically, the couple's connection to the desert began much earlier. This past June, they married during a magical sunset ceremony at the Metzoke Dragot travelers' village. The two, who have been in a photogenic relationship for about two years, got engaged during a vacation in Cyprus nine months prior. Many stars traveled south to their desert wedding, where close friend and actor Moshe Ashkenazi conducted the emotional ceremony.

This relationship proves that a second chapter in life can be highly successful. Previously, Amitai was engaged to Agam Rodberg, a relationship that ended in 2016, and in May 2021, he married Shir Levinson, whom he divorced in July 2023. Now, his bond with Dor seems stronger than ever. After celebrating their love in the Israeli desert, they have proven they can survive the American desert together, even at its stormiest.
