Amankwah Forson Joins Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Is Registered for the Europa League

Ghanaian midfielder Amankwah Forson, whose agreement was first reported by ynet, will join Hapoel Be'er Sheva on loan until the end of the season from Norwich. He is intended to fill the void left by Kings Kangwa and has been registered in the squad for the Europa League. On Wednesday evening, he arrived at the Toto-Turner Stadium to watch his new team for the first time during their match against Hapoel Haifa, sitting alongside Alona Barkat. The announcement of his signing was released during the match.
Details of the deal reveal that the 23-year-old's contract includes a purchase option for Be'er Sheva at the end of the season for 4 million euros. Given that this amount exceeds the club's typical acquisition policy, it is currently expected that he will arrive on a one-season loan, with a permanent transfer being considered only if he displays exceptional ability.
Forson was loaned to Be'er Sheva without a fee, partly because the club's participation in the Europa League serves as a significant showcase against opponents such as Juventus, Celta Vigo, Bournemouth, Union Saint-Gilloise, and Beşiktaş. Forson's salary in England is approximately 900,000 pounds per season, with the Israeli club bearing about 300,000 euros of that amount, while Norwich covers the rest.
His last official match was at the end of May against Hull City, following a season hampered by injuries, during which he recorded 19 appearances in the Championship. This season, he was not included in Norwich's squad for their first three matches against West Bromwich, Millwall, and Burnley. Two years ago, Forson was purchased by Norwich from Salzburg for an estimated 4.5 million euros. In Austria, he played alongside Oscar Gloukh and recorded 23 league appearances in his final season, as well as four appearances in the Champions League, including against Inter. Since moving to England, he has accumulated 40 appearances in the Championship and holds two caps for the Ghana national team.
