US Prosecutors Seek Life Sentences for Israeli Alexander Brothers Convicted of Sexual Assault
US federal prosecutors are seeking life sentences for the three Israeli Alexander brothers, convicted of systematic sexual assaults and rape over a decade. Defense counsel requested a 15-year minimum.

Federal prosecutors in the United States have requested a life sentence for the three Israeli Alexander brothers—former luxury real estate brokers Oren and Alon, and their older brother Tal—who were convicted of rape and sexual assaults spanning more than a decade. In a court filing submitted on Wednesday, the prosecution argued that the severity, scale, and systematic nature of the offenses justify the maximum penalty. In contrast, defense attorneys have asked the court to impose a 15-year prison term, the statutory minimum.
Oren and Alon Alexander, 39-year-old twins, along with their older brother Tal, were convicted in March on all ten counts against them, including two counts involving minors. The verdict followed a five-week trial that exposed testimonies and evidence regarding a series of sexual assaults committed by the brothers between 2008 and 2021. According to the prosecution, more than 70 women reported being assaulted by the trio, with 11 testifying during the trial.
In their sentencing memo, prosecutors described how the brothers developed a systematic modus operandi over the years, luring women with promises of a luxury lifestyle, drugging them to incapacitate them, and then forcibly raping them. The defense maintains that the brothers are innocent of any sexual offenses, arguing that a life sentence would be excessively harsh given that they are young fathers with small children, requesting instead the minimum 15-year sentence. US District Judge Valerie Caproni has scheduled the sentencing for October 27.
