A heated backstage altercation erupted on Tuesday night at Channel 13 between prominent TV personalities Lucy Aharish and Eyal Berkovic during a live election broadcast. The dispute, which quickly escalated during a commercial break, required the direct intervention of senior network executives, including Co-Owner Asaf Rappaport.

The tension began shortly after the exit poll results were broadcast, when diplomatic correspondent Moria Asraf reported live from the Likud headquarters, referencing "90 Zionist mandates" and calling for Zionist unity. Aharish sharply criticized these remarks on air, prompting Berkovic to defend Asraf's position.

During the subsequent commercial break, the disagreement transformed into a loud confrontation. According to witnesses, Aharish accused both Asraf and Berkovic of racism over their discussion of a Zionist government. An enraged Berkovic reportedly retorted, "Calm down, you are not in your village here."

Following the clash, a visibly shaken Aharish walked off the set. Asaf Rappaport, who was present at the studio in Neve Ilan, rushed to investigate. Sources report that Aharish broke down in tears, telling him, "Look at how I am being treated in my own home."

Rappaport embraced Aharish, assuring her that the remarks were unacceptable and affirming she could skip returning to the air if she wished. Channel 13 CEO Idan Alrom also intervened, stating that Berkovic would be required to issue a formal apology for his conduct.
