Ouch: Nicole Kidman made her ex-husband cry in front of thousands

On Friday, Keith Urban performed a ballad at a concert in Atlantic City about an ex who has moved on and found someone new. Moments later, the 58-year-old singer, whose divorce from Nicole Kidman was finalized in January, appeared visibly moved to tears in front of the audience.

Urban performed the song «We Go Back» from his new album «Flow State», released five months after their marriage officially ended. Addressing the audience at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Urban shared the story behind the track:

«This song is about a guy and a girl who grew up in a small town. They were the first in their group to fall in love, and they had something good, until the guy ruined it. Years go by until they meet again, and he can't believe she looks exactly the same. They talk, everything flows, and then she tells him she has someone else».

Urban also recited the chorus, leaving little room for interpretation:

«I know I shouldn't have let you go. I was young and stupid, and I ruined everything really bad. You tell me it's too late now, because there's someone new around. But what we have is the only thing you'll never have. We go back».

Following the performance, Urban continued with a few more songs before pausing in front of the sold-out crowd, appearing emotionally overwhelmed. At one point, he knelt on the stage and wiped away a tear while the audience cheered. With a faint smile and a shake of his head, he took the microphone and said: «That's why we keep coming back to Atlantic City».

The performance comes shortly after Kidman was linked to businessman Michael Reinstein. The actress was recently photographed sitting by a pool with Reinstein. A source close to Kidman noted: «After everything she went through with Keith, she deserves to find happiness».
