Adi Ohana: "I Kept My Relationship with Eli Secret to Avoid Being Judged"
Adi Ohana, wife of former footballer Eli Ohana, opened up about the early days of their relationship. She admitted that she kept their romance hidden to avoid professional scrutiny as a sports reporter.

Adi Ohana, the wife of former footballer and media personality Eli Ohana, was a guest on the podcast "You Don't Choose Family," hosted by attorney Liat Shklarz. She shared intimate details about the beginning of their relationship, while addressing the criticism surrounding their 16-year age gap and the challenges of her career as a sports reporter.
Addressing the age difference, Ohana said:
"16 years is a lot, although if you look at life today, there are many couples with a larger age gap, and there is also the opposite. I know what you are talking about, and I understand what people say."
She later reflected on the start of her relationship with Eli and revealed why she kept it private:
"When I was 23–24 and dating someone who was 40, the gap felt very large. I didn't understand the significance of the fact that he came with a child. When I started dating him, I didn't think it would lead anywhere. I was dating him in secret because I didn't want anyone to know. I was a sports reporter, and it really didn't fit for people to know, as he was already a coach. What am I, a floozy?"
Ohana also spoke about the obstacles she faced early in her career:
"Back then, people looked at women in sports differently; you always felt not entirely comfortable. Today, there are plenty of women working in the sports field, but back then, there were very few. When I would come to interview footballers and coaches, it wasn't always the most pleasant experience. The fans are the coaches, after all: 'Who are you, what do you understand?' It didn't bother me, but I can say that today, it seems much simpler to me."
