Makhteshim Agan Industries (Adama), a global leader providing practical solutions for farmers to combat weeds and pests, has announced that its Chief Financial Officer, Efrat Nagar, will step down to pursue new professional opportunities.

Leadership Transition at Adama

Efrat Nagar has served as CFO since 2023 and has been a member of the global management team for the past five years. Throughout her tenure, she advanced through key management positions before ascending to the CFO role.

"Efrat is leaving Adama after more than two decades, during which she was a partner in shaping strategic decisions and driving significant milestones," said Gaël Hili, President and CEO of Adama. "Her contribution helped strengthen the company's financial resilience."

Nagar expressed her gratitude for her time at the company, noting that she departs with great pride and appreciation for the people and achievements realized during her tenure.

New CFO Appointed

Sami Leibowitz has been named as the incoming CFO, effective October 1, 2026. Leibowitz returns to Adama from Syngenta Group, Adama's parent company, where he currently serves as Global Head of Performance Acceleration.

Leibowitz previously spent over 13 years at Adama in various senior financial and strategic roles before briefly departing. CEO Gaël Hili welcomed his return, expressing full confidence in his ability to lead the financial division toward future business objectives.
