Indictment: Ashkelon resident raped his daughter for 5 years and threatened to distribute AI-generated nude
A severe indictment was filed at the Be'er Sheva District Court against a 41-year-old Ashkelon resident. The defendant committed severe sexual offenses against his daughter since she was 12.5 years old, and threatened to distribute an AI-generated nude photo of her. Additionally, he is accused of severe violence against his spouse and minor children.
A particularly severe indictment was filed this Thursday at the District Court in Be'er Sheva against a 41-year-old resident of Ashkelon. The indictment details a series of prolonged sexual and physical abuse against his minor daughter, alongside acts of violence against his spouse and his other children.
According to the indictment, filed by Adv. Ira Vaiman-Krikun of the Southern District Prosecutor's Office, the offenses began in 2021, when the girl was approximately 12.5 years old. The defendant would enter her room at night or when other family members were away, sometimes while naked or under the influence of alcohol, to perform indecent acts. When she attempted to resist or call for help, her father would strike her with his fists.
Furthermore, the indictment states that shortly after the girl turned 15, her father raped her in their apartment. From that point on, he would rape her one to two times per week, employing severe physical violence that left bruises on her body, until she ceased to resist. In some instances, he even offered her money in exchange for sexual acts.
In addition to the physical sexual offenses, the father is accused of harassing his daughter via WhatsApp. In one instance, he threatened to distribute to her partner and the entire city a nude photo of her that he had edited using artificial intelligence technology.
Alongside this series of abuse, the defendant is accused of attacking, under aggravating circumstances, his spouse and his two other minor children, born in 2013 and 2019.
The case was investigated by the Ashkelon police. The prosecution charges the defendant with a series of severe offenses, including sexual offenses within the family, sexual harassment, threats, and assault of minors and a spouse under aggravating circumstances. Concurrently with the filing of the indictment, the prosecution requested to detain the defendant until the end of the legal proceedings.
