Artificial intelligence did not invent fraud, but according to researchers at a leading cyber investigation firm, scams have become faster, more sophisticated, and cheaper. Does the era of deepfakes and fake representatives leave crypto users defenseless?

Global workforce management firm Deel, founded by Israeli Alex Bouaziz and Shuo Wang, is acquiring Clarity, a startup specializing in detecting deepfakes and synthetic identities. This marks Deel's first-ever cybersecurity acquisition and its first in Israel.

A severe indictment was filed at the Be'er Sheva District Court against a 41-year-old Ashkelon resident. The defendant committed severe sexual offenses against his daughter since she was 12.5 years old, and threatened to distribute an AI-generated nude photo of her. Additionally, he is accused of severe violence against his spouse and minor children.
