Abulafia Bakery Chain Expands With New Dizengoff Branch

The Abulafia bakery chain, led by brothers Tarek and Ziad Abulafia, is continuing its expansion with the announcement of a new branch opening in Tel Aviv. The new branch will be located at 106 Dizengoff Street and is set to open on September 18. This opening marks a significant milestone for the group as it is the third branch opened during 2026. According to the group, this is the first time in the brand's history that three branches have been opened in less than a year.

The Abulafia bakery is one of the oldest food businesses in the country. Founded in 1879 by Masoud Abulafia, the original bakery operates in a building on Yefet Street, near the Clock Square in old Jaffa. Over the years, the family turned the business into a recognized brand known for a variety of Arabic-style pastries, including pitas, manaqish, bagels, sambusak, and pizzas, alongside sweets such as baklava and knafeh.

The chain's expansion outside of Jaffa has accelerated over the years, with branches opening in Tel Aviv and other cities. In 2007, branches were opened in Rishon LeZion and Ibn Gabirol Street in Tel Aviv, followed by additional locations. In 2024, the chain also opened a branch in Kfar Saba, near the HaZomet Mall.

Today, the group's operations include branches on Allenby Street in Tel Aviv, the Herzliya Marina, and Kfar Saba, alongside kosher branches at Azrieli Tel Aviv and Menora Mivtachim Arena. In addition, the group operates the Opera branch on the Tel Aviv promenade and "Shawarma Leah by Abulafia" at the Herzliya Marina.

The new branch on Dizengoff expands the group's presence in the heart of Tel Aviv and joins its existing footprint across the Gush Dan region. The choice of Dizengoff Street adds another central activity point in the city to the group's portfolio, alongside its already operating branches in Tel Aviv.
