A day after the deadly shooting: settlers enter Palestinian village again

Yesterday, settlers from the 'David and Ahikam Travelers' group entered the village area without coordinating with the IDF, leading to a confrontation with Palestinians during which one individual opened fire. Major Ezra, who was leading the small force that arrived to separate the sides, was killed, as was Malet, a member of the Gilad Farm standby squad.
During the night, two outposts were established in the Tel village area, and two additional outposts were set up near Nablus, with some located in Area B. Yesterday, settlers carried out work in preparation for moving to these outpost points.
Meanwhile, since the attack, the IDF has arrested more than 70 wanted persons throughout Judea and Samaria. In the village of Tel itself, 11 wanted persons were arrested and about 80 others were questioned. Palestinians reported other detainees in villages in the area, including Jalud south of Nablus. Dozens of masked men rioted after the incident, setting fires and throwing stones.
'In the Menashe Brigade, as part of a broad brigade operation, the forces searched more than 300 locations and arrested wanted persons identified with the Hamas terrorist organization, and terrorists who promoted explosive device attacks,' the IDF reported today.
'In the Binyamin Brigade, forces arrested about 20 wanted persons, including those who acted to promote terror plots, throwing Molotov cocktails, and arms trafficking. In the Ephraim Brigade, our forces arrested 15 wanted persons, including Hamas-affiliated individuals, inciters, and promoters of terrorist activity,' the IDF added.
Duvdevan unit fighters arrested a terrorist who intended to carry out an attack and a wanted person identified with Hamas in an operation in the Tulkarm area. In the Etzion and Yehuda brigades, forces arrested 16 wanted persons suspected of incitement to terrorism and arms trafficking, and confiscated hunting weapons.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian security coordination mechanism in Ramallah announced that entrances and exits from the city will be closed today between 20:00 and 22:00, 'against the backdrop of calls by settlers to go out onto the roads.' Residents were urged to drive carefully. According to Palestinian reports, settlers threw stones today at vehicles traveling on the Marj Sia road connecting the villages of Al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah. Palestinians also reported that IDF forces are operating in the towns of Asla and Giyus, east of Qalqilya.
