Magic came to TikTok
In her first video, published ahead of the premiere of "Practical Magic 2", Kidman gave a glimpse behind the scenes of the event in London. "Magic brought me here," she wrote alongside the video.
The footage begins in the hotel room, where the beauty team completes her preparations for the evening. From there, Kidman moves to the red carpet in a sparkling Chanel dress, signing autographs for fans and taking pictures with her co-stars.
Among others, she was documented alongside Sandra Bullock, Joey King, and Maisie Williams. There were also lighter moments, where Kidman and Bullock laughed together, shared a hug with Dianne Wiest, and performed some dance moves alongside King.
The debut on TikTok comes ahead of the release of the sequel to "Practical Magic", almost three decades after the original film. Kidman and Bullock return to play the sisters Gillian and Sally Owens, and alongside them, Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest also return. Joining the cast this time are King, Williams, Xolo Maridueña, and Solly McLeod.
The song revealed the connection
However, it was the choice of the song for the video that became the most interesting part of the story. Kidman chose "Ain't in LA" by the Slovak singer Adela, which is gaining momentum on TikTok and has even entered the top 50 most played songs in the world on Spotify.
The connection between the two turns out to be deeper. On Adela's debut album, PRIMA, which is expected to be released on September 4, there is a song titled "Nicole Kidman".
When a fan asked Kidman at the premiere if she knew the singer, she clarified that the name is definitely familiar to her:
"I definitely know who she is. She is coming to Nashville and I am going to see her."
Adela's reaction did not take long to arrive. In response to the video uploaded to the X network, she wrote: "Wow, oh my god, Nicole."
Now it remains to be seen if the first video was a one-time move ahead of the film's release, or if Kidman intends to turn the new account into a more regular glimpse into her life. In the meantime, she has already managed to fit into the same video a Hollywood premiere, a reunion with Sandra Bullock, and some music with a personal dedication.
