3×3: Three sets of triplets born at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in one month

Three sets of triplets were born at Shaare Zedek Medical Center within a single month: one set of boys, one set of girls, and a third set consisting of one boy and two girls. The latter case was considered particularly rare, as the two girls shared a single placenta.

Limor Hekster, a midwife at Shaare Zedek who participated in one of the deliveries, shared her perspective:

"Every new life that comes into the world with the knowledge that the midwife had a part in it — this is not just a job but a great privilege."

"Births of triplets occur from time to time, and every time it is exciting anew, but having three sets of triplets born within one month is an especially unusual event. We are proud to accompany mothers and their loved ones during such significant moments; it means everything to us," she added.

Dr. Vladimir Plotkin, Director of the Delivery Rooms at Shaare Zedek, stated:

"We are proud to be the largest birth center in Israel, with over 20,000 births per year, thanks to our dedicated, skilled, and sensitive teams of midwives and doctors who provide every mother with the full support she needs."

Talia, who gave birth to the two girls and the boy, received care at Shaare Zedek throughout her pregnancy. Thanks to precise medical supervision, all three infants were born healthy.

"The beginning of our journey was not simple," Talia said. "Before this pregnancy, we experienced two miscarriages, and during one of them, I was hospitalized in serious condition. Out of the pain and the longing for children, even before the pregnancy, we carried with us a world of prayer and faith."
