11 illegal aliens found hiding in a pit at a construction site in Kiryat Ata
Police located a group of residents from the Palestinian territories during an operation to identify illegal aliens in the Coastal District. The suspects, who police say were living and working at the site, were arrested, and their detention was extended until August 10.
Unusual footage from a police operation: 11 illegal aliens were found hiding inside a pit dug at a construction site in Kiryat Ata. Officers arrested the suspects, residents of the Palestinian Authority, on suspicion of staying and working in Israel illegally.
As part of a proactive operation by the Asher District police to locate illegal aliens, authorities announced on Thursday that they had arrived at a construction site in Kiryat Ata. During the search, officers noticed a pit dug at the site, where they discovered 11 individuals who were allegedly living and working there.
Police stated that enforcement against illegal aliens is carried out on an ongoing basis, partly due to concerns that some individuals may be involved in security incidents, in addition to violating the Entry into Israel Law.
All suspects were transferred to the police station for questioning. They were subsequently remanded, and the court granted the police's request to extend their detention until August 10, in accordance with the needs of the investigation.
