Military Prison

Three Givati soldiers who refused to board a medical evacuation Namer APC where a female paramedic was present were tried today and sentenced to 10 days in military prison. The soldiers refused, according to them, in accordance with the instructions of their rabbis, and additional soldiers from the unit are expected to stand trial and be punished.

The move is intended to allow judicial review by military courts over decisions of military detention facility authorities regarding the conditions of detention of detainees and prisoners.
