Mikveh

Following the "Hayom" investigation into sexual abuse in mikvehs, a wave of testimonies on social media and private messages describes more and more cases. A user tweeted: "At age 15 I was harassed by an adult in a mikveh," another shared: "It's true, I know 100 stories." A new testimony received by "Hayom" describes abuse in a mikveh in Zichron Moshe, Jerusalem.

The Association of Rape Crisis Centers demands that the Ministry of Religious Services prohibit minors from entering mikvehs without a responsible adult, following difficult testimonies about abuse of boys in the Haredi sector. Bnei Brak City Council member Yaakov Wieder: "This is a matter of life and death, the functionaries denied it."
