Lobby 99 filed the appeal on behalf of two savers who filed private complaints with the police, claiming they were induced to transfer their money to Slice through deceitful means. Three years after the exposure of the affair in which hundreds of millions of shekels disappeared, Lobby 99 claims that the police are not advancing a criminal investigation despite information in their possession.

The Lobby 99 organization has urged Ministry of Interior Director General Israel Ozan to overhaul the personal surcharge mechanism in local authorities to improve transparency and collection rates. The appeal follows a "Ha-Yom" investigation revealing that nearly half of all surcharges imposed in recent years remain uncollected.

The “Lobby 99” organization has filed an objection to the proposed settlement in the Slice affair, arguing that it absolves wrongdoers of responsibility, denies savers the right to vote, and offers unfavorable terms. The appointed administrator, CPA Efi Sandrov, has also opposed the settlement, citing fundamental flaws and misrepresentations.
