Forced Labor

The State Attorney's Office has filed an indictment against 74-year-old Shmuel Gross of Netanya. He is charged with forced labor and indecent acts against Thai foreign workers employed on his farm.

The Israeli government has approved a ban on the import of goods produced by forced labor. This move is an attempt to prevent new US tariffs of 12.5% on Israeli exports.
