The Jewish-American actor, who starred in "Oppenheimer", "Supergirl" and "The Studio" among others, announced at age 48 an indefinite break from his acting career. "I'm frustrated and burned out," he explained, "the profession has lost its luster." Later, he clarified that this is not a final retirement but "a step back, to wonder if there is a higher calling I should be pursuing."
