The screen adaptation of Colleen Hoover's thriller Verity, starring Dakota Johnson, Anne Hathaway, and Josh Hartnett, fails to deliver a satisfying cinematic punch. Despite a claustrophobic atmosphere, the film suffers from a disappointing twist and casting fatigue.
