The performance of the Israeli swimmers at the European Championships in Paris was worrying, especially the decline in Anastasia Gorbenko's ability, but the breakthrough of Tomer Schuster is a bright spot ahead of the World Championships next year.

The Israeli swimmer failed to repeat her impressive achievement and finished seventh, and then jumped into another semifinal within a few minutes. Tomer Schuster was ranked ninth in the 100m backstroke and missed the final by only 24 hundredths of a second.

Following his success in the 50-meter backstroke, Israeli swimmer Tomer Schuster has set a new national record in the 100-meter backstroke. Anastasia Gorbenko, Eitan Ben Shitrit, Alexey Glivinski, and Miron Cheruti have also qualified for the semifinals in Paris.

Anastasia Gorbenko took first place in the 200m individual medley, Lea Polonsky qualified in eighth place. Tom Mienis set a personal best in the 100m backstroke and also secured a spot for the evening session.

The three athletes qualified for the next stage in Paris: Gorbenko finished first overall in the 200m individual medley, Polonsky eighth, and Minis advanced from 16th place in the 100m backstroke.

The Israeli European champion returned to the demanding event and finished the final with a time of 4:45.07 minutes. Daria Golovaty finished 14th in the 200m freestyle semifinals, but secured a spot in the 2027 World Championships.
