Zara fans in Israel are facing a series of disappointing changes as the Spanish fashion giant downsizes its physical footprint and introduces new delivery fees. The chain recently closed its branch at the Azrieli mall in Beersheba and announced the upcoming closure of its Zara Home store at the Ayalon Mall, leaving Zara Home with only two remaining locations in the country: the TLV Fashion Mall and Big Glilot.

Simultaneously, Gottex Fashion, the Israeli franchisee for Inditex group brands—including Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Pull&Bear, and Massimo Dutti—has overhauled its online shipping policy. Free delivery on orders over 199 shekels has been scrapped, replaced by a flat fee of 14.90 shekels on all purchases regardless of the total amount. Furthermore, returning items via courier now costs 39.90 shekels, while in-store pickup remains free.

Zara Home online has also eliminated free shipping entirely. Customers must now pay 49.90 shekels for standard deliveries or 75 shekels for heavy furniture transport. The brand previously tested the waters during recent sales events by charging delivery fees for discounted online items.
