Yigitcan Saybir Hits Miraculous Full-Court Buzzer-Beater in Turkey

Tofas Bursa secured a thrilling 90-89 victory over Bandirma on Friday in the Turkish Basketball Super League opener, courtesy of a buzzer-beater from almost full-court by Yigitcan Saybir.

With just 1.5 seconds remaining and the visitors leading 87-89, they missed a free throw intentionally to run down the clock. However, Saybir grabbed the rebound, turned, and launched the ball across the entire length of the court. The shot hit nothing but net at the buzzer, sending the arena into a frenzy.

Turkish media outlets immediately hailed the play as the basket of the year, with some noting it was a sequence "you don't even see in NBA 2K." The 27-year-old Saybir finished as Tofas' leading scorer with 18 points, delivering an improbable win for head coach Massimo Cancellieri.

It is worth recalling that during the Tel Aviv derby in the social Super Cup about a week and a half ago, Yam Madar scored a similar basket for Maccabi Tel Aviv, though it came at the end of the first half and did not decide the game.
