There are evenings when it is difficult to open a broadcast as usual, and then there are moments when even a farewell turns into an entertaining television event. Yehuda Schlesinger opened the evening edition of "Seven" with his familiar greeting to his co-host, Yaakov Bardugo, but this time it sounded quite different.

"Good evening to you, seven in the evening, good evening, Ya-akov," Schlesinger said before explaining to viewers that after a long period of sitting side by side evening after evening, the time had come to part ways. Bardugo is leaving the studio after securing the 11th spot on the Likud party list for the upcoming Knesset elections.

However, instead of a stiff farewell speech, Schlesinger chose to do it his own way. "I have to tell you something from the heart, Yaakov: you son of a bitch, how did you not tell me anything?" he joked.

Schlesinger then followed up with a particularly sharp jab directed at someone who knows every whisper in the political corridors. "Sitting here every day, talking my ear off, knowing who comes, who goes, who is switching parties, and who gets thrown out before they even know they've been kicked out—and I have to read about you leaving in push notifications on the news? What kind of friend are you?"
