Former Knesset member Yehuda Glick has been banned from the Temple Mount for six months. The order was issued by the Jerusalem District Commander of the Israel Police after Glick prayed on the mount for the recovery of Neriah Leiter.

Glick, known for his activism advocating for Jewish visitation and freedom of worship at the holy site, frequently receives restraining orders for violating visit regulations. A week ago, he ascended the mount and filmed himself praying aloud for Neriah Leiter, the son of Israel's ambassador to Washington, who was severely injured in a ramming attack.

Police officers noted the prayer, stating that Glick breached behavioral guidelines and prayed alongside tourists. Following a disciplinary hearing, Jerusalem District Commander, Superintendent Avshalom Peled, issued the six-month restraining order to prevent serious harm to public safety and property.
