Young Man Seriously Injured by Accidental Firearm Discharge in Yavne
A young man was seriously injured in Yavne following an accidental firearm discharge at a home. Police opened an investigation into the legally held weapon.

A young man in his 20s was seriously injured on Saturday evening by an accidental firearm discharge at a home in Yavne. Magen David Adom paramedics arrived at the scene and evacuated him to a hospital.
Police have opened an investigation into the incident, stating that an initial examination indicates the weapon was legally held by a family member, and the circumstances are currently under review.
In August, a soldier was seriously injured by an accidental discharge at a military base in central Israel. The Military Police opened an investigation, suspecting it involved mishandling of a weapon.
Earlier in February, 18-year-old Border Police trainee Uri Makhtiev from Azor was shot dead at his home, allegedly by a fellow officer's accidental discharge. The case was transferred to police and military investigators.
Last October, off-duty soldier Yosef Haim Rabouh was killed by an accidental discharge in front of his fiancée at their home in Kiryat Arba. His friend, Border Police officer Hananel Sabag, was charged with reckless homicide and negligent weapon use.
