An answer to a routine question from a follower on Instagram turned into a personal and particularly revealing confession from TV presenter Yarden Harel. The follower compared Harel to Italian fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni, whom Harel cited as a "pioneer in the field" and even shared that she had dressed up as her in the past. Harel shared that she watched a video in which Ferragni talks about the criticism and judgment she receives, and revealed: "I responded to her."

Harel explained to her followers the importance of Ferragni's video:

"In my opinion, a very important reel. For those who haven't seen it, she wrote there that she receives a lot of hate comments about gaining weight and about getting older. She simply stepped out of that race."

She continued and linked Ferragni's words to her own personal experiences with changes in appearance and weight fluctuations: "Actually, now she is in the most complete place in her life, and in the periods when she was the skinniest, she was the least at peace with herself. And I identify with it to the maximum, because I am the same - in periods when I am not doing well in life, I lose weight." Harel protested against the ease with which users type on their keyboards and added: "People allow themselves to write things... Negative comments sometimes trigger you or cause anger or frustration. Even if you don't agree with them, many times it penetrates inside."

The discussion about the invasion of privacy led Harel to share another text, in which she recalled complex moments from her personal life and the price of public exposure:

"It reminded me that at the time, I was asked a million questions about pregnancy, and assumptions were made and incorrect facts were established. And that is basically how I ended up sharing about the fertility treatments. They talked less about treatments back then, it's not like today where there is a very open discourse online. About almost everything. And it was hard for me mentally, but I am happy about the decision because it strengthened me and I also helped many women and couples."

She concluded with pain the incessant judgment she received precisely during moments of loss: "I also feel that sometimes no matter what you do - you get hit. Because even regarding the stillbirth, I received criticism when I revealed it here on Instagram. As if it were something I could have hidden... So obviously I preferred to have some control and not have it discovered as a headline while I was mourning."
