Israeli tech firm Wix is expanding beyond its traditional drag-and-drop website builder market with the launch of Studio Two, an advanced design and development environment aimed at professional web developers and digital agencies. The new platform combines visual editing capabilities, AI-driven automation, and native code editing, marking a significant strategic shift for the company.

At the core of the new release is Aria 2.0, Wix's upgraded artificial intelligence agent. Users can input a text prompt to generate multiple homepage design alternatives within seconds. Developers can then seamlessly transition between Wix's visual editor and a direct view of the underlying React code, powered by a built-in integration of Visual Studio Code.

Wix has designed the platform with an open ecosystem in mind, allowing developers to export generated site code to external environments such as Cursor, integrate code built with models like Claude and Codex, and re-import projects back into the platform. Additionally, the system supports custom workflows, MCP protocols, and automated design validation to streamline professional web development.

Studio Two will initially roll out to Wix partners before becoming globally available to all platform users in phases.
