Israel Introduces Winter Discount Rates for Passports and ID Cards
Winter discount rates for passports and ID cards in Israel take effect on November 1, 2026, offering online savings and extended redemption periods through April 2027.

Winter discount rates for passports and ID cards will take effect on November 1, 2026, offering citizens significant savings.
The Population and Immigration Authority is preparing to implement the seasonal winter pricing, allowing citizens to save substantial amounts when renewing travel documents and ID cards, provided they pay online in advance.
The discounted payment period will run from November 1, 2026, through February 28, 2027, and is strictly conditional upon payment via the official government website. Although payment must be completed by the end of February, citizens can redeem the benefit and visit the offices to issue their documents until the end of April 2027.
Regular soldiers, reservists, and national service volunteers will be eligible for additional discounts determined by the IDF and the National Service Authority. The updated reduced amount will appear automatically during online checkout.
Visits to the offices require booking an appointment in advance exclusively via the "GoVisit" application. To streamline service and save waiting time, citizens are advised to schedule appointments directly at self-service kiosks located across various branches.
