A new branch of the Wingate Institute School for Coaches opens at Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa, offering professional sports training and education for residents of northern Israel.

A new branch of the Wingate Institute's School for Coaches and Instructors is set to open at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa, bringing professional sports education directly to The North. The inauguration ceremony will take place on Monday with the participation of Mayor Yona Yahav and other senior officials.
Modern Facilities in the North
The new branch occupies approximately 500 square meters on the fifth floor of the stadium. It features state-of-the-art classrooms, training studios, and a fully equipped gym. Established for the Haifa Municipality and the Wingate Institute via the Yefe Nof company, the facility aims to provide accessible, high-level professional training for residents across the region.
Comprehensive Training Programs
The curriculum will run throughout the week, offering certified coaching courses under the auspices of the Sports Administration. Programs will span various disciplines, including movement and healthy lifestyles such as yoga, pilates, and hip-hop. Additionally, specialized courses in sports therapy, medical massage, reflexology, nutrition, and sports management will be available.
"Haifa is a city of sports, and we are working to make it a hub that cultivates the future generation of Israeli athletics," stated Mayor Yona Yahav. "This step allows young people from Haifa and across the north to acquire top-tier professional training close to home."
Sammy Ofer Stadium CEO Lior Peri noted that hosting the Wingate branch transforms the venue into a year-round center for sports excellence and education, reinforcing Haifa's status as a major metropolitan hub in northern Israel.
