Wave of arrests in the West Bank: More than 70 wanted individuals detained

IDF, Shin Bet, and Border Police forces conducted a widespread operation throughout the West Bank tonight, arresting Hamas activists and suspects involved in planning attacks. In Samaria, troops raided the village of Tel, the home of the terrorist who carried out Friday's shooting attack.

Security forces arrested more than 70 wanted individuals and interrogated hundreds of suspects today, Saturday, as part of a widespread operation throughout the West Bank. The activity focused on several areas, including a raid on the village of the terrorist who carried out a shooting attack yesterday.

The primary focus of the security forces' activity tonight was the village of Tel in the Samaria region, the residence of the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack on Friday. During the raid, fighters from the Nahal Reconnaissance Unit arrested 11 wanted individuals and interrogated about 80 suspects. Simultaneously, forces searched more than 300 buildings and various locations throughout the sector, arresting suspects identified with Hamas and those promoting explosive device attacks.

In the Tulkarm area, fighters from the Duvdevan unit arrested an individual planning an imminent attack, as well as an activist identified with Hamas, along with 13 other wanted persons detained in the area.

In the Binyamin area, forces operated in several locations simultaneously, arresting about 20 wanted individuals involved in planning attacks, throwing Molotov cocktails, and arms trafficking. An additional 50 suspects in the area underwent field interrogation.

Furthermore, in the Etzion and Judea sectors, 16 suspects were arrested for incitement, ties to Hamas, and arms trafficking offenses. In one location, troops located and confiscated a hunting rifle. All detainees have been transferred for further investigation.
