US Vice President JD Vance met at the White House with conservative Jewish-American radio host Sid Rosenberg, as part of efforts to ease concerns among conservative Jews and pro-Israel supporters within the Republican Party.

The one-on-one meeting, held at Vance's request, lasted nearly half an hour amid assessments that the Vice President is preparing for a 2028 presidential bid. Rosenberg later entered the Oval Office for a brief meeting with President Donald Trump.

Concerns Over Vance's Ties and Statements

Ahead of the meeting, Rosenberg told Politico he intended to press Vance regarding his friendship with anti-Israel conservative media figure Tucker Carlson and his stance on US aid to Israel. Vance's ties with Carlson, who has criticized the US-Israel alliance and hosted Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, have sparked concern among Jewish donors and activists.

I think I charmed him more. I did most of the talking, and he did most of the laughing, Rosenberg joked about the meeting.

Post-Meeting Outlook

Although Rosenberg noted he remains closer to Secretary of State Marco Rubio as a preferred 2028 candidate, he left the meeting with a more positive assessment of Vance, stating he believes they can work with him and that Vance is willing to listen.
